experimentation

i'm enjoying experimenting with a new medium: epoxy resin (think thick stinky honey) that i pour over my artwork as a final glossy coat.  it cures over a few days and gives a wet glassy look (very glassy, in fact you can see our kitchen and patio in its reflection above).

i've noticed lots of similar artwork in galleries (even for sale in my hair salon) and have read on art blogs that this may be a trending phase, but personally i like it! and i hope its here to stay.

so much fun (but expensive, if anyone knows of a reasonable source, i'd love to hear)... here's a splattery painty piece hanging in our hallway.
